Portugal South Coast - Lisbon to Spanish Border
In the centre square of the old city is a statue of the very important Portuguese ruler, King D Afonso 111, who lived from 1210 - 1270. He is remembered as the King who finally expelled the Moors from the Algarve in 1249.
